Update on Nets eID Broker - December

Work on implementing MitID is progressing. Below you can read news about the latest developments.

MitID and Nemlog-in3

Nets have just released a delivery of MitID and this contains all essential functionality, but the project is still not open for ordinary Service providers to access to test MitID. Unfortunately, this is not expected until 2021, when the so-called pre-production environment becomes ready.

The Nemlog-in3 project has announced a delay, and so we cannot expect organizations to start migrating up to the new business identities until January 2022. See more about schedule on Nemlog-in (nemlog-in.dk)

Changes in Claims

We have made changes in the names of our identity provider parameters and token claims. In order to make an easy transition to the new token claims, we will in the available environments support both the old and the new claims for the next period of time. We will later announce when the old claims will stop being supported. Below is a list of these changes:

Transaction token claims
Previous value New value
identitytype identity_type
transactionId transaction_id
referencetext reference_text
referencetextheader reference_text_header
transactiontext transaction_text
transactiontexttype transaction_text_type

Userinfo token claims

The change is made to be consistent with the other claims issued. All other claims are formatted with "_", and not in camel-case or plain as was previously the case with these  claims. Read more in the technical documentation.

Are you new to Nets eID Broker?

If you have a NemID service and have just started preparing your migration to MitID there are a few things you can consider to ensure that you  are on the right track.

As a starting point there is yet no opening for MitID testing and further there is still not support for business identities via Nemlog-in3 which is postponed until December 2021.

But what can already be tested right now is the integration to Nets eID Broker. The integration is based on  Open ID Connect. You can download a sample client from OpenID Connect clients.

Here there is the opportunity to test with both "NemID Test" identities that you may already know  and you can test something similar to MitID - namely "MitID Demo" - this  is our simulation of MitID (where no username/passwords are validated).

If you make an integration here you are where you should be in relation to being prepared for when the  MitID project will open for testing of additional  functionality.

SSO in the Technical Documentation

We have updated the technical documentation to include more technical descriptions of the SSO and the so-called Controlled Transfer. Testing of this is not expected to be possible until after MitID has opened for testing for service providers.

Admin Page Preview

We have created a video that demonstrates the basic aspects of how you as a service provider can work with your MitID configuration in the administration interface. The video also shows how to set up an OpenID Connect integration in the OpenID Connect playground. Watch the video at https://broker.signaturgruppen.dk/ekstra-materiale/admin-ui-demo  (Danish)
